9:30 AM - 12:00 PMReligious SchoolWe are so excited to welcome Rabbis Linda Motzkin and Jonathan Rubenstein to the Religious School as part of our Mitch Dorson Scholar-on-Residence weekend. Students of all ages will spend the morning engaging with the Rabbis and learning how a Torah scroll is made, getting to proofread an actual panel of the Torah, and learning to make the best bagels in the west!
This opportunity is only open to current Religious School students. If you are interested in the Kol Ami Religious School, contact Rina at educationdir@katucson.org for more information. .
In the Mishna, Pirkei Avot 3:17, we learn that without bread (literally “flour”), there is no Torah; without Torah there is no bread. Interested in learning more but can’t make this event? Join Rabbis Linda and Jonathan at one of the other activities during our scholar-in-residence weekend.

Friday afternoon, jumpstart your Shabbat at 1pm for Baking: Shabbat, Tzedakah, & You

Rabbis Linda and Jonathan will be at Friday night services introducing the weekend.

Saturday morning, Rabbi Jonathan will deliver a d’var Torah on the week’s portion, Yitro.

Following Shabbat morning services, join us for a kiddush lunch and discussion on Creating Worlds with Words.

Welcome the new week with Havdalah followed by breakout sessions on Sacred Sewing & Baking Biblically.
