Creating Worlds with Words – Study Session & Kiddush Lunch
Saturday, February 11, 2023 • 20 Sh'vat 5783
11:30 AM - 12:30 PMSy Juster AuditoriumThe letters of the Hebrew alphabet are viewed by our sages as the building blocks of creation: letters create words and words create worlds. Speech is a medium for creation both in the Bible and in our own lives. Everyone is invited to join for a Study session and Kiddush lunch to discuss the topic led by Rabbi Linda.
Thank you to Jeff & Donna Goldberg and Jim Whitehill & Jane Rodda for sponsoring the lunch in honor of Mitch Dorson, our teacher and our friend.
We would appreciate your registration so we can plan for lunch, however, it is not required to attend.
In the Mishna, Pirkei Avot 3:17, we learn that without bread (literally “flour”), there is no Torah; without Torah there is no bread. Interested in learning more but can’t make this event? Join Rabbis Linda and Jonathan at one of the other activities during our scholar-in-residence weekend.
