Kol Ami Executive Director
Introducing Sean Moss
Kol Ami’s Executive Director
Dear Members of Kol Ami,
After a thorough search for our new Executive Director, the Kol Ami Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the hiring of Sean Moss.
Showcasing a 20-year breadth of global experience spanning business management, strategy, marketing, and corporate governance, Sean is poised to bring fresh perspectives to the continued success of Kol Ami. His collaborative work in digital marketing fundraising for his previous synagogue and Jewish school board underscores his commitment to building a sustainable, inclusive, and joyful Jewish community.
Sean and his family immigrated to the US just under two years ago from South Africa and settled in Tucson after a brief time in Texas. Throughout his personal and professional journey, Sean, accompanied by his wife Kerry and son Eithan, has deeply valued the support of a nurturing Jewish environment. Outside the office, he is an avid golfer, a lover of Sci-Fi Movies, a bagel & lox connoisseur, an obsessive reader, and a professional ball thrower for two well-traveled Boston Terriers. Sean remarked, "This is an incredible opportunity to work with amazing people and grow a community where everybody feels at home."
Sean is a recognized keynote speaker with a master’s degree in business and management and various qualifications spanning accounting, data analytics, and leadership.
Sean will begin his work at Kol Ami in mid-September. Our Interim Executive Director, Michelle Blumenberg, will onboard and work with Sean for a month as we transition.
We thank the Executive Director Search Committee, chaired by Carey Turner, including Dana Adler, Kate Alexander, Norm Golden, Larry Goldstein, and Rabbi Malcolm Cohen, for their time, thoughtfulness, and professionalism during this process. Thank you to Michelle Blumenberg for staffing our search process.
We will formally welcome Sean and his family at Erev Rosh Hashanah services on Friday, September 15. We look forward to seeing you then.
Thank you,
Dana Adler
President
