For many of us, the High Holy Days represent a time for quiet reflection–on the year that was, on the year that will be, on our lives, our family, and our community. In this season of introspection, we invite you to include Kol Ami Synagogue in your thoughts: What does Kol Ami mean to you? How do you connect most to the work we do and to the community we foster?

We live in a time of uncertainty, in a world that isn’t always kind. The weight of the social, political, and economic hardships today can be a heavy load to bear. When it starts to feel like it’s all too much, it’s a comfort to know the Kol Ami community is here for you.

I’m reminded of one of our Strauss ECE families who were faced with a difficult situation: When the scholarship funding for their tuition was suddenly withdrawn, they didn’t see a way to continue paying to send their children to our preschool. The Kol Ami community heard about the hardships facing this and several other families, and you gave without hesitation. “Because of your support,” wrote one mother, “I have been able to continue working fulltime and have the peace of mind knowing my daughter is well cared for. We can never thank you enough for how much your incredible generosity has impacted the well being of my child and the quality of our life.”

All year long, we strive to achieve our vision of being your home for Joyful Judaism. Through spiritual leadership from Rabbi Cohen and Cantor Benrey, we bring you thoughtful, meditative, and inspiring messaging and music each week. Our programming and interest groups offer a multitude of ways for you to connect with other congregants, families, and the greater community. The Jewish Lifelong Learning offerings provide opportunities to deepen your knowledge of Hebrew, Judaism, and world events.
