Yes, you can recommend a grant from your DAF for synagogue dues, unrestricted and restricted contributions, or gifts to the Kol Ami endowment funds.

There are a lot of terms involved in leaving a legacy gift, and they can get confusing. An endowment is a fund that is invested to generate interest income. The uses of that income can be specified when the endowment fund is created: “to support the clergy at Kol Ami”, for instance, or “to provide for the Jewish Lifelong Learning program.”
A planned gift is one way to create an endowment, or to otherwise support the mission of Kol Ami. Any assets that you leave to Kol Ami in your estate plans is a planned gift. By making arrangements for planned giving, donors are often able to leave more to their favorite organizations after death than they can in life.
You can think of a planned gift as a way to give the money, and an endowment as the way to use the money.

We do. In addition to honoring our legacy donors in print and on the website, we offer special programming just for those who have included us in their estate planning. You may choose to join this group anonymously, and still receive the benefits of group membership.
