Value of Membership
Sustaining a community of sharing, education, spiritual fulfillment, and outstanding pastoral support for all life cycle events requires healthy financial support. That support is delivered through annual membership commitments and donations. They are the critical source of revenue for the operation of our synagogue.
The actual annual cost to provide you with congregational services and programs amounts to approximately $2,550 per member household. Many members will commit to that full amount and more, which allows us to sustain membership for everyone regardless of the amount they can commit.
Kol Ami is a diverse congregation whose members range from young families with children to seniors living on fixed incomes. The annual membership commitment is based on the cost of operating the synagogue, factoring in the number of members to establish a fair estimate of the cost per member. All members are entitled to equal participation; however, not all members can equally contribute financially.
