Kol Ami has a thriving group of LGBTQ+ members; people of all ages and backgrounds. Many members choose to join the Rainbow Chavurah. A group formed for support within the LGBTQ+ community, which meets once a month.
Judaism teaches B’tzelem Elohim, all people are made under the image of God. LGBTQ+ people are created in B’tzelem Elohim. Everyone is. The LGBTQ+ community wants to be understood and seen as fellow people. They have friends and family who love and care for them. Allies can defend them too. LGBTQ+ rights are human rights. These rights affect us all.
