Tikkun Olam Coalition

About Us: At Kol Ami, we strive to repair the world (Tikkun Olam) through hands-on service and a commitment to social justice. The Tikkun Olam Coalition provides a safe and energetic space to share ideas and activities consistent with our Jewish values.

Our hands-on efforts include preparing meals for local shelters, assembling hygiene kits for unhoused community members, supporting food drives, and hosting Red Cross blood drives. Additionally, we help the congregation stay informed on local and statewide issues, partnering with other faith communities and organizations on advocacy.

Currently, the Coalition is focusing on the following key areas:

  - Protecting our democracy
  - Addressing food and housing insecurity
  - Improving healthcare accessibility for all
  - Assisting our local refugee and immigrant community
  - Strengthening multifaith relationships
  - Caring for our environment (Dayenu Circle)
